Rollin' or Breakin'?

In the past couple months, I have broken three large bags.  Literally, the straps have busted right off.  I guess my TJ Maxx bags weren't made to carry a laptop, 3 binders, 5 folders, 7 books, a water bottle, a houndstooth lunch bag, and a ziploc bag of full of skittles.  Not only was I breaking bags, I am pretty sure one of my shoulders sits lower than the other as a result of hoisting that 30-40 pound bag on my shoulder everyday.

Because I'm not willing to lighten my load, I had to come up with a different plan: the rolly bag.

Is a rolly bag acceptable when it is shiny and red? Or, do I need to go back to breaking bags?

Itty Bitty

Sometimes I wish I had a storage unit so I could live in an almost empty apartment. I LOVE open space. Unfortunately I live in 600 sq. feet with no storage unit, and I have a hard time getting rid of clothes. Let's take this blazer for example. I got this in 2004 and while I was approximately the same size as I am now, it feels kind of tight when I wear it. Does it look a little small? Honesty is the best policy. Remember folks, I have no roommates and no one to say, "It looks like your busting out of your clothing".
Here the blazer looks pretty normal sized:

But as soon as I move my body? Maybe a little small?

If I could wear stripes everyday..I would.

Except for horizontal stripes on my bottom half.  That will never happen.

But, how many stripes is too many stripes?  Can multiple stripe patterns be worn in one outfit?

Costume or Dress?

Hi, since this is my first post, let me give you a little background. I'm Whitney and I teach at a private elementary school in Oakland. So put yourself in my shoes, or more accurately pretend you are my roommate. Does this look like I'm going to a 60's theme dance or to work?

Can professors wear leopard?

Okay.  So I'm not really a professor.  Me calling myself a professor is kind of like when Ashley lead us all to believe she was a dentist, when in reality she was just in dental school.

I, like Ashley, am just in school.  In fact, I've been in school for a really long time.  I'll be in 22nd grade in August.  But, I do actually teach an undergraduate course in reading education.  Basically, I teach teachers how to teach children how to read.

But let's get back to the point here...If you were in a college class and a girl came in in a shiny animal print number, would you take her seriously?  Would you believe that she could teach you something?

These are the things PhD students lay awake thinking about at night.  Well, probably not all PhD students...just this one.
